HOW DO YOU TAKE THE DIMENSIONS OF YOUR BIKE?
You'd like a customized deco kit for your motorcycle, but it's not yet listed on our site? That means we don't have the templates for it. But don't panic, we've got several options for you. If you're in the Lyon area or just passing through, you can come directly to our workshop so that we can take the jigs directly from your bike. Remember to make an appointment beforehand by sending us a message directly here: CONTACT
If you're not from the area, you can send the fairings directly to us at the following address: 33 av. du Dr Georges Levy, 69200 Vénissieux. We can offer you the option of additional installation, contact for more informationinformation.
The last option is to take the templates yourself and send them to us at the same address, or scan them and send them to us by e-mail. Here's the tutorial:
What you'll need:
- Marking tape (preferably thick)
- A pen or black marker
- Sheets of paper
- A pair of chisels
1- Fairing preparation :
Start by covering the first part of the fairing with strips of masking tape, overlapping them until the entire fairing is covered. Bear in mind that this surface will become a sticker, so avoid sharp corners or small areas to keep the installation feasible.
2- Contour drawing :
Using the black felt-tip pen, draw the outline of the sticker directly on the marking tape (already on fairings or the one to be created later).
Please note: You need to draw the outline of the future stickers ! Not the contours of the fairing. To do this, follow the shape of the fairing, leaving a margin of about 2/3mm from the edge. If, however, it's easier for you to follow the contours of the fairing, make sure you indicate on a note when sending the templates that the margins have been taken from the edge. This will enable us to reduce their size and apply the safety margin.
If you need to cut out certain areas, such as screw holes or other angles, mark them. Indicate this with dotted lines.
3- Collage :
Once the outline has been created, carefully peel off all the strips of marker tape at the same time and lay them flat on one or more sheets of paper. Then use the scissors to cut away the excess ribbon and paper. To finalize, indicate on the template which part it is (e.g.: lower part of the right front fairing).
4- Send :
And that's it! Your templates are finished, now it's time to send them to us. There are two ways to do this:
- Scan all templates at 300 ppi and add them to a pdf file to be sent to us at : CONTACT@M-STICKERS.COM
- Send us the templates by post to the following address: 33 Avenue du Docteur Georges Levy - 69200 Vénissieux (include a note in the envelope with your contact details or any other information specific to your request).
